Sibigyeongdo Painting Folding Screen, Miryang
KOGL Type 1Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

This is a painting depicting the twelve scenic spots of Miryang, centred on Geumsidang Pavilion. It is said that Yi Gyeong-hong, who was renowned for his filial devotion during the reign of King Seonjo of Joseon and was appointed Chambong (a low-ranking official) of Junwonjeon Shrine, painted it to console his father, Lord Yi Gwang-jin of Geumsidang, during his illness. Predating the Imjin War (Japan's invasions of Korea, 1592–1598), the work carries great value as historical source material.
