This is a collection of 82 old documents together with 16 volumes in 10 other titles, including a literary collection, relating to Jeong In-hong (1536–1623), pen name Naeam, a civil official of the reign of King Gwanghaegun of Joseon. In 1573, the sixth year of King Seonjo, Jeong In-hong performed many good works while serving as magistrate of Hwanggan, and when the Japanese invasions of 1592 broke out he raised righteous army troops in Hapcheon and repelled the Japanese forces. In 1602, the 35th year of King Seonjo, he was promoted to Inspector-General, and afterwards served successively as Jwachamchan, Right State Councillor, Left State Councillor, and Chief State Councillor. However, during the Injo Restoration he was unjustly put to death by the Westerner faction then in power. In 1908, the second year of Emperor Sunjong, his honour was restored and his official rank reinstated, and later Hwang Hyeon, pen name Maecheon, and Sin Chae-ho, pen name Danjae, praised Jeong In-hong as a reform-minded man of action.
