The Macheonseokgyo Bridge Stele, Boseong, commemorates the construction of a stone bridge completed in July 1674, the 15th year of King Hyeonjong, at the old ferry crossing of Macheon in the Haepyeong-ri area of Deungnyang-myeon; no trace of the stone bridge itself now survives. Construction of the bridge was led by the monk Gyesu of Gaeheungsa Temple in Boseong. The right-hand side of the stele records the process of construction, and the left-hand side lists the names of those who took part. It also records in detail the date, the sponsors, and the background and process of construction, making it a rare 17th-century heritage record relating to a bridge. The stele was found broken in two beside Haepyeonggyo Bridge over the Deungnyangcheon Stream near Obongsa Temple, and was immediately moved to the township office, where it was re-erected, rejoined, and is now kept.
