Jeongsusa Temple Ksitigarbha and Ten Kings Painting
KOGL Type 1Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

This Buddhist painting is among the earlier examples of late Joseon Ksitigarbha and Ten Kings paintings. Besides the colours red, green, blue, yellow and white, it makes decorative use of gold pigment, which Joseon Buddhist paintings otherwise used sparingly. The hairstyles and calm facial expressions show the influence of early Joseon Buddhist painting, and for these reasons it has been designated a Tangible Cultural Heritage.
