Danji Head House Historical Documents, Jinju
진주 단지종택 고문서

These documents, apart from the sigwon (examination answer papers), were originally part of two bound collections known as the 'Seonjeokyupyeon' and the 'Sorok'. The 'Seonjeokyupyeon' was compiled in 1943 by Ha Jeong-geun (1889–1973), who sorted the various papers left by his ancestors — ink writings, letters, elegies, memorial addresses, letters to friends, property-division records, household registers, regulations of village mutual-aid societies and more — by type into four booklets, and gave the compilation this name. The 'Sorok' gathers several short records (sorok) briefly setting out the course of the 'Jang Seok-han false-accusation case' of around 1718, together with a few other documents.
