Gyeongchejeong is a pavilion that Gang Tae-jung, the great-grandson of Gang Yun, built in 1858, the ninth year of King Cheoljong, to honour the brotherly devotion and virtuous conduct of three brothers: Gang Yun, who held the posts of Jwarang in the Ministry of Rites and royal secretary; Gang Wan, who served as Cheomjijunghubusa; and Gang Han, who attained the rank of Gauidaebu. The pavilion is a square building two kan (bays) across the front and two kan deep. Its roof is a hip-and-gable roof (paljakjibung) which, seen from the side, resembles the Chinese character for 'eight' (八). The name plaque was written by Kim Jeong-hui, pen name Chusa.
