The Buddhist Books of Baekcheonsa Temple, Sacheon comprise three volumes in total. The Mongsan Hwasang Beobeo Yangnok (蒙山和尙法語略錄, Abbreviated Discourses of Reverend Mengshan) is an extremely important source for studying the development of the Korean hangeul script in the 15th and 16th centuries. The Jungpyeon Hyeonsu Beopsu (重編賢首法數) is a kind of dictionary compiled within the Buddhist tradition, arranging various set phrases in sequence primarily by number, and is a rarity of high scholarly value. The combined volume of the Bulseol Susaeng-gyeong and the Bulseol Yesu Sipwang Saengchil-gyeong is a valuable text used for chanting at major ceremonies such as yesujae, a ritual performed to accumulate merit in advance of one's rebirth in the afterlife. All three volumes are complete, independent books rather than fragments of larger sets, and are precious material possessing a history of more than 300 to 400 years as well as considerable rarity.
