Sukbuin Sangsan Bak Clan Tombstone and Stone Figure Statue in Gabong-ri, Jinju
KOGL Type 4Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

The subject of this tombstone was a member of the Sangsan Bak clan, wife of Ha Gye-ji, magistrate of Geoje, and mother of Ha Yun, who held the post of jipyeong (Inspector) and used the pen name Unsudang. The tombstone was erected in the mid-Joseon period, and its epitaph was composed by Gang Baek-jin (1449–1504). It is distinctive in that the pedestal, tombstone body and capstone are carved from a single block of stone, and it is unusually large and well preserved in its original form for a woman's tombstone. The accompanying stone figure statue is likewise of a rare form, and for these reasons the tombstone and stone figure statue are designated as Gyeongsangnam-do Tangible Cultural Heritage.
