A large tomb complex formed from the Bronze Age through to the Unified Silla period, situated on the hill country between the Taehwagang River and Cheokgwacheon Stream. Excavations in 1993 and 1995 showed it to be a layered site, in which tombs of the Three Kingdoms and Unified Silla periods had been added on top of a Bronze Age village and its burials. In the Bronze Age cultural layer, long rectangular pit-house sites were identified, along with plain pottery and stone tools such as stone arrowheads representative of the Bronze Age. In the layer from the early Three Kingdoms period, wooden coffin tombs ringed by a ditch and wooden chamber tombs were found, while the layer from the late Three Kingdoms period yielded vertical stone-lined tombs and horizontal-entry stone chamber tombs; small jar-coffin burials were also found interspersed among the wooden coffin and stone-lined tombs. Grave goods recovered from these various tomb types included large quantities of gilt-bronze ornaments such as belt fittings and gilt-bronze crowns, as well as pottery and iron artefacts. In particular, at Daun-dong House Site No. 7, excavated in 1995, carbonised grains of red beans, foxtail millet, and sorghum were found; these are important material for studying the agricultural culture of the Bronze Age in the Ulsan region.
