Bogan-ri Dolmen is located in a terraced field behind Eumji Village, in Bogan-ri, Duseo-myeon, at the foot of the eastern hill of Cheonmasan Mountain. Pottery dating to the Bronze Age has been found on the surrounding hills and fields. The capstone is a granite slab set evenly in place, though one side is broken; it measures 390 cm in length, 340 cm in width and 140 cm in thickness. As only a single support stone can be observed beneath it, the dolmen is presumed to be of the baduk-board (go-board) type, in which a capstone rests on small support stones over an underground chamber. As no academic survey has been carried out, the internal structure is not known in detail. Bogan-ri Dolmen provides important material for research into the politics, society and culture of the Duseo and Bonggye area during the Bronze Age.
