Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe Changpyeong-dong Dolmen Group consists of one dolmen on a hillock in Nangol village, Changpyeong-dong, and one on a paddy bank amid farmland, the two set about 300 m apart. The capstones are of granite and lie obliquely on the ground; the one on the paddy bank measures about 210 cm in length, 210 cm in width and 90 cm in thickness, with no supporting stones visible. The one on the hillock measures about 180 cm in length, 150 cm in width and 90 cm in thickness, with stones presumed to be supporting stones lying beneath the capstone. Its internal structure is not known in detail, as no academic investigation has been carried out. The Changpyeong-dong Dolmen Group is an important source of material for studying the politics, society and culture of the Changpyeong-dong area during the Bronze Age.
