Gongju Guryongsa Temple Site
공주구룡사지 · 公州九龍寺址

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe temple site lies on the slope running north from Gyeryongsan Mountain, and the area is known as Beopdang-gol and Budo-gol. Many carved stone fragments are scattered through the village, and because roof-tile pieces stamped with the name "Guryongsa" were found nearby, the site has come to be called the Guryongsa Temple Site. At the temple entrance stand a pair of flagpole supports, and foundation stones, long dressed stones, and the base stone of a stupa also survived, though these have now been moved to the Gongju National Museum. These remains suggest that it was once a large temple, and the artefacts from both the Baekje and Unified Silla periods indicate that it was built in the late Baekje period or the early Unified Silla period.
