Dolmen Group in Samgeo-ri, Ganghwa
강화 삼거리 고인돌군 · 江華 三巨里 고인돌群
Provincial Monument

Nine northern-style dolmens are arranged in a row along the western ridge of Goryeosan Mountain, the hill facing Jinchon Village in Samgeo-ri. On the capstones of some of the dolmens are several small carved pits; in South Korea such marks are called seonghyeol (cup-marks), while in North Korea they are linked to constellations. The supporting stones of the dolmens measure 2.80m in height, 0.90m in width and 0.38m in thickness. Near the dolmens is a quarry where traces of stone extraction remain.
