Dolmen Group in Gocheon-ri, Ganghwa
강화 고천리 고인돌군 · 江華 古川里 고인돌群
Provincial Monument

Eighteen dolmens are scattered along the western ridge of Goryeosan Mountain (436m above sea level), at elevations of 250 to 350m — considerably higher than the average elevation at which Korean dolmens are found. Most of the dolmens have collapsed and lost much of their original form. Among them, a relatively well-preserved northern-style dolmen has a capstone measuring 3.35m in width, 2.47m in length and 0.65m in thickness. Nearby rock outcrops still bear traces of stone having been quarried to build the dolmens.
