The dolmens at Osang-ri first came to attention in 1972, when a single example was reported and designated a Gyeonggi Province monument, but no detailed survey followed until the early 1990s, when the Survey and Research on the Dolmens of Ganghwado Island examined the area around San 125, Osang-ri, in detail and found close to ten more dolmens hidden among the undergrowth and weeds. The capstones of the dolmens in this area show traces of partial dressing, and all are slab-shaped in plan. In size, the capstone of the Naega Dolmen, which is separately designated as a monument, is the largest at 335 cm in length, while the rest range from 130 to 260 cm. The stone chambers take the form of cists, and wedge stones were packed around the supporting stones and blocking stones to hold them firmly in place. The floors of the chambers were mostly left as bare earth, though Dolmens No. 1, 4 and 9 had flagstones or broken stones laid over them.
