Yongjeongnisa Temple Site
용정리사지 · 龍井里寺址

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krNeither the name of the temple nor its history has been passed down, but the site is presumed to be a Baekje temple site. The temple was laid out on ground sloping gently to the south, and the sites of a main hall and a wooden pagoda have been identified nearby. Large numbers of Baekje lotus-pattern roof-end tiles are scattered across the site, and long dressed stones together with fragments of Baekje roof tiles and earthenware have also been excavated. Judging from the Baekje lotus-pattern roof-end tiles, the temple appears to have been built before the sixth century, and the layout is presumed to have followed the one-pagoda arrangement.
