구고사및김완장군부조묘 · 九皐祠및金完將軍不조廟

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis shrine enshrines the portrait and spirit tablet of General Kim Wan (1577–1635), posthumously titled Yangmugong, a military official of the mid-Joseon period. When the Jeongyu War broke out in the 30th year of King Seonjo (1597), he won renown for valour alongside General Yi Bok-nam, the army commander of Jeolla Province. After passing the military examination in the 7th year of King Gwanghaegun (1615), he held a succession of official posts. When Yi Gwal's Rebellion broke out in the 2nd year of King Injo (1624), he rendered meritorious service and was ranked a third-class merit subject, being enfeoffed as Lord of Hakseong. He died in the 12th year of King Injo (1634) while serving as army commander of Hwanghae Province, and after his death his official rank was posthumously raised to Minister of War. Gugosa is the hall housing the general's portrait and spirit tablet, while the bujo shrine — a shrine permitted by royal order to retain an ancestor's tablet permanently, exempt from the usual rule of removal after four generations — was built by royal command after the general's death. It was destroyed by fire and restored in 1979.
