This is a Baekje-period temple site whose original name and history are unrecorded. Roof tiles bearing the inscription 天王 ("Heavenly King"), matching tiles previously excavated at the Cheonwangsa temple site in Gua-ri, Buyeo-eup, have also been found here; to distinguish it from that site, it is known as the Dongnamnijeoncheon Stream King Temple Site. The site consists of an upper and a lower platform. The lower platform is a wajeokgidan, a foundation built up in layers of roof tiles, measuring 18.04 m east to west and 14.72 m north to south. The upper platform stands directly on top of this tile-built foundation, which it has damaged, and is itself considerably damaged. To the south of the tile-built foundation is a stone-built structure, within a pit inside which numerous Baekje-period artefacts were found, including lotus-patterned eave-end tiles, Baekje pottery and chimi (ornamental roof-ridge-end tiles). A small bronze pagoda was also found nearby, providing important material for the study of Baekje architecture.
