Provincial Monument

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis is a building site where Baekje relics have been unearthed, standing on the ridge of a hill on the boundary between Wangpo-ri and Jungjeong-ri. Its exact origin is unknown, but since it lies on a hill south of the old capital, it is presumed to have been the site of either a government office for outer defence or a temple. It forms a flat, rectangular plot of land, on which an eight-petal single-layer lotus-design roof-end tile, eave-end tiles and foundation stones have been found, and Baekje roof-tile and earthenware fragments are still being unearthed in large numbers today.
