The Busan Jinilsinyeo School building was constructed in 1905 by the Australian Presbyterian Mission. Built in a Western style, it is a rare surviving example nationwide and has preserved its original form relatively well; it is also an outstanding building notable for its fine proportion and balance, and as one of the earliest school buildings in Korea it possesses such rarity value that it is highly important material for the study of architectural history. It was also the first institution to educate 'new women' in the Busan and South Gyeongsang region, and considering the role this building has played as an educational facility and its association with the introduction of Christianity, it is valued as a heritage site of historical and educational significance.
