This is a mountain fortress on the northwest side of Tamnim village, Eunseon-ri, Yeongwon-myeon, Jeongeup, in North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province, built by piling earth to a height of about 4–5 m on a high, level plateau. The fortress measures 280 m from north to south, up to 160 m from east to west at its widest, and 875 m in circumference. At the centre of the west side is a sluice through which water drains out, and the sites of gates remain on the east, west, south and north. Earthenware and roof-tile fragments from the Three Kingdoms period have been unearthed within the fortress, suggesting that it is the site of a Baekje earthen fortification.
