This is the tomb of Sin Ja-gyeong (1403-1470), a meritorious subject of the reign of King Sejo of Joseon (r. 1455-1468). After serving in major posts including Minister of War, he retired in the 7th year of King Sejo (1461) to live in Odong village, Mokcheon-hyeon. The court later offered him the post of Left State Councillor, but he did not return to office and remained living in retirement in the countryside until his death in the 1st year of King Seongjong (1470). The court, admiring his conduct, bestowed funeral goods and ordered that his funeral be conducted with full ceremony. The tomb follows the typical style of the early Joseon period: a border stone encircles the base of the burial mound, and a muninsang (a stone statue of a civil official) and a memorial stele stand nearby. Although there are traces of later repair, the tomb retains its original appearance relatively well.
