This is the burial ground of Jo Eom, posthumously titled Munikgong (1719–1777). Jo Eom was a civil official of late Joseon, skilled in writing and deeply concerned with the people's livelihood; serving in posts such as jipyeong and sujan, he achieved great merit by setting up grain storehouses and easing the tax burden on the people. In particular, in 1763, the thirty-ninth year of King Yeongjo, he travelled to Japan as an envoy and brought back sweet potato seed stock, achieving Korea's first successful cultivation of the crop, which proved of great benefit to the poor. In front of the burial mound stand a sangseok, a stone table for laying out ritual food, and a pair of mangjuseok, ornamental stone pillars; a gravestone stands a little to the left of the sangseok, and 100 m away, by the approach to the tomb, stands a sindobi, a memorial stele. Made of granite, the stele follows the typical style of the Joseon period.
