부여용정리소룡골백제건물지 · 扶餘龍井里소룡골百濟建物址

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis is the site of a Baekje-period building discovered outside Naseong, the outer city wall, on the fringes of Buyeo town. Two building sites were laid out facing south-east, arranged along a north-south axis. The southern building site has a platform of two to three tiers made of well-dressed natural stones, with flat stones laid in front of it, while the northern building site lies in a direction parallel to the southern one. Judging from the stonework and the excavated artefacts, the two building sites are thought to have been built in the same period. Artefacts excavated here include lotus-patterned round roof-end tiles, plain tiles, tile fragments carved with a diagonal lattice pattern, fragments of chimi (owl-tail ornaments placed at the two ends of a roof ridge), and other tile fragments, as well as earthenware such as basins, mounted-foot dishes, jars, inkstones, and lamps. This is a comparatively large building site for the Buyeo area, and because it stands outside Naseong, it is presumed to have served an unusual function.
