Haenam Wolsongnijosan Mountain Ancient Tomb
해남월송리조산고분 · 海南月松里造山古墳

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krVillagers called this tomb 'Josan' or 'Oedo-ri Hill', but it was only recognised as a tomb when artefacts were accidentally discovered there. Its internal structure is a stone-chamber tomb with a front opening (hoenggusik seoksilmyo), consisting of a passage leading into the tomb (yeondo) and a burial chamber (hyeonsil). Baekje earthenware, together with horse trappings, weapons, and personal ornaments, were recovered, showing that the tomb was built in the early sixth century. The Josan tomb at Wolsong-ri, Haenam, provides scholarly material comparable to the finds from the Tomb of King Muryeong in Gongju, making it important evidence for research into Baekje of that period.
