These are Baekje-period tombs distributed at the point where the end of Neuteunmokgol valley, in the northern gully of Jeo-dong village on the outskirts of Buyeo, meets the foot of the mountain. A total of fifteen tombs were investigated; most are stone-chamber tombs with a front opening (hoenggusik seoksilmyo), and there are also two larger stone-chamber tombs entered through a tunnel-like passage (hoenghyeolsik seoksilmyo) with bigger burial chambers. Almost all were built using naturally broken stones, and their scale is relatively small. Tripod earthenware vessels, long-necked jars with an upright mouth, bottles, handled earthenware, and nails used in coffins were excavated, and on this basis the tombs are known to have been built in the Sabi period (538-660), between the late sixth and early seventh centuries. Given that the tombs are small both as a group and individually, and that they are located in a mountainous area, they are generally thought to be the burial ground of local influential families.
