In historical documents it is recorded as "Gagok Fortress" or "Yangdong Fortress". It commands an effective view over the Gimhae plain and the mouth of the Nakdonggang River; its circumference is about 800 m, and the wall is 2.5 m in both height and width. Foundation stones remain at the sites of the south and north gates, and traces of a well and fragments of Gaya pottery have been found inside the fortress. This fortress is thought to be connected with the nearby Yangdong-ri tombs and the Yuha-ri shell mound, and it is regarded as important material for research into the region's history from the Proto-Three Kingdoms period through to Gaya.
