This is the tomb of General An Wi (1563–?), a military official of the mid-Joseon period. He passed the military service examination in 1592, the 25th year of King Seonjo, and the following year became magistrate of Geoje. In 1594, at the second Battle of Dangpo, he distinguished himself as vanguard commander under the command of Yi Sun-sin, and in 1597 he set fire to and blew up a Japanese gunpowder store in Busan. He subsequently held a series of posts, including Right Naval Commander of Jeolla and Army Commander of Jeolla Province. When the Jeongyu War broke out in 1597, the 30th year of King Seonjo, he destroyed more than twenty Japanese ships under the command of Naval Commander-in-Chief Yi Sun-sin, and was rewarded by King Seonjo with a copy of the Mugyeong chilseo (Seven Military Classics). He was later named one of the twenty Seonmu Meritorious Subjects honoured for their achievements in the Imjin War. The oval tomb lies on a hill behind Daesan Village. Before it stand a stone offering table and a jangmyeongdeung, a stone lantern set before a tomb, flanked on either side by a stone statue of a civil official.
