Haenam Yongdu-ri Ancient Tomb
해남용두리고분 · 海南龍頭里古墳

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis tomb stands in front of Yongdu village, on the road from Haenam-eup to Daeheungsa Temple. The burial mound has the typical keyhole shape known as jeonbang-hugwon, square at the front and round at the back. Seen from the side, the square front section is shorter than the round rear section, and the front section is also slightly lower in height. It is thought to be of the same character as the Haenam Bangsan-ri Janggubong Tomb (a Jeollanam-do Monument), and the tomb is believed to date from around the 4th century. The Haenam Yongdu-ri tombs are among the very few keyhole-shaped tombs found in the Jeollanam-do region, making them of very high value.
