This is a temple site traditionally known as Wangsansa, located on a hillside about 1 km from the Tomb of King Guhyeong. The exact history of this temple is not known, but judging from the content recorded in the Wangsansagi (Record of Wangsansa), it is presumed to be connected with King Guhyeong (r. 521–532), the tenth king of Garakguk. From the retaining walls, cornerstones, well site and pedestal stones that remain here, together with the many roof-tile fragments excavated in the surrounding area, it can be inferred that Wangsansa was a large temple in its day.
