This is the tomb of Han Su, pen name Yuhang (1333–1384), a civil official of the late Goryeo period. In 1371, the 20th year of King Gongmin, when Sin Don fell from power, Han Su was again appointed to office and held major posts. He excelled in poetry and writing, and was renowned as a master calligrapher of his age, skilled in both cursive and clerical scripts. The burial ground lies within the Civilian Control Line. The area serves as the family burial ground of the Cheongju Han clan, and nearby are the tombs of Han Su's father, Han Gong-ui, and his brother, Han Ri. Han Su's tomb takes the form of a round twin mound, meaning two mounds side by side, jointly interring him with his wife of the Andong Gwon clan. The burial ground rises in terraces, divided into three tiers bounded by gyecheseok, flat, long boundary stones marking off the burial ground — a trace of late-Goryeo tomb practice. On the middle tier stand a tomb-marker stele, a stele inscribed with the name of the deceased, and a stone lantern for each burial. Both tomb-marker steles are of the round-topped, square-pedestal type. The stele on the front left was erected by Han Su's fifth-generation descendant, Hyeong-yun, during the reign of King Jungjong, while the stele on the front right was erected by a twelfth-generation descendant during the reign of King Sukjong. The stone lantern and stone pillars were added in later periods, and the offering table and incense-burner stone on the lower tier are recent additions. Two pairs of civil-official stone statues are installed, well reflecting the twin-mound tomb practice of the late Goryeo and early Joseon periods. The Yuhanghansu Burial Ground preserves traces of late-Goryeo tomb practice and is a valuable piece of cultural heritage that reveals the character of Gyeonggi's tomb culture.
