The Hoedeok tumuli lie on a hill north of Hoedeok Village, east of the Chungsin River. Three tombs are distributed from southwest to northeast along the ridge facing the entrance to Hoedeok Village. Tomb No. 1, the southwesternmost of the three, sits at the lower end of the ridge, close to the village's entrance pavilion tree. As the area around this tree was developed into a rest facility, the tomb's edge was damaged, and it has since become difficult to make out its original shape owing to the construction of houses and stone retaining walls nearby. Investigation confirmed that Tomb No. 1 is square in plan. Tomb No. 2, between Tombs No. 1 and No. 3, is also square in plan. Although bamboo grows thickly on its northeast side, it remains relatively well preserved; however, a private grave has been made on its southwest side, and much of it has been cut away by house-building on its southeast side. Tomb No. 3, situated highest on the hill, is round in shape.
