Dolmens are representative tombs of the Bronze Age, also known as goindol, and are generally understood to be the tombs of a ruling class with economic wealth or political power. Korean dolmens are divided into the table-style type, in which four support stones are set upright to form a stone chamber topped with a huge flat capstone, and the go-board-style type, in which a stone chamber is built underground with small support stones set beneath the capstone. These dolmens stand in a field where the national road meets the access road to Asa village in Haksan-ri. There are four in all. Counting from the southernmost, the first measures 3.55 m long and 2.5 m wide, the second 1.45 m long and 1.15 m wide, the third 2.8 m long and 1.3 m wide, and the last 1.3 m long and 1.5 m wide.
