This is the burial ground of Dunchon Yi Jip (李集, 1327–1387), a scholar-official of the late Goryeo period. Dunchon was his pen name, and his clan seat was Gwangju. Renowned for his fine writing and his unbending integrity, he enjoyed a high reputation. The burial ground holds the joint grave of Yi Jip and his wife, Lady Jeonghwa-taekju of the Yeongju Hwang clan, and it retains its original form relatively well. It is built in a three-tiered arrangement of retaining stones: the upper tier holds the burial mound and a grave marker; the middle tier holds an offering table, its supporting stones, an incense-burner stone and a stone lantern; and the lower tier holds a pair each of civil-official statues and ornamental pillars. First built at the end of the Goryeo dynasty, it has been continuously maintained by his descendants ever since, so its old appearance survives well. The stone furnishings are of varied kinds and finely carved. To the right of the burial mound stands a grave marker in the "square base, round top" style, its round-topped stele body set on a square base. On the front of the marble stele body (the surface bearing the inscription) are two lines of large characters in standard script, by which the occupant of the tomb can be identified. The inscription on the back was composed by his eleventh-generation descendant Yi Hyu-jing, but it is now too worn to read. The marker was erected in 1652, the third year of King Hyojong.
