Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krLocated in the area of Judong-ri and Naegok-ri, Yeohang-myeon, Haman-gun, the Pasan Beacon Station, Haman stands at the summit of Pasan (also known as Bonghwasan Mountain, 675.5m above sea level), which faces Yeohangsan Mountain, the guardian mountain of Haman, from the east. Built in the early Joseon period, it functioned until the late Joseon period as Branch Beacon Route 2 within Main Beacon Route 2 serving the Gyeongsang-do direction, relaying signals received from the Gaeulpo Beacon in Jinhae onward to the Gamaksan Beacon in Uiryeong. According to the Hamjuji, a local gazetteer of Haman, the station originally had one smoke-signal platform, five smoke flues, one hearth, and one watch mound, but today only one smoke-signal platform and two building sites remain confirmed.
