Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe Gimhae Gusan-dong Baegundae Pavilion Ancient Tomb was excavated by the Pukyong National University Museum in 1997. It was found to comprise a single mounded tomb containing a main horizontal-entry stone chamber with an entrance on its left side, together with three subsidiary stone-lined tombs, and it was confirmed that the burial chamber had been used for additional burials on two separate occasions. Although the tomb had been looted, 58 artefacts were recovered, including earthenware, ironware, gilt-bronze objects, and bronze ware, providing valuable material for research into the burial customs and material culture of this region following the fall of Geumgwan Gaya in the late 6th century. It was originally part of the Gusan-dong Tumuli, designated Historic Site No. 75, but was redesignated a Provincial Monument on 3 August 1999.
