Built in 1630, the eighth year of King Injo of Joseon, this is a traditional house. The main house, the men's quarters and the gate house form a U-shaped layout, the typical form of a wealthy farming household found across Korea's southern regions. The main house is a house that faces south, narrow in width and long in length. It is arranged with a kitchen, a large room, a daecheong (an open wooden-floored hall) and further rooms; the sizes of the kitchen and large room were slightly altered during repair work. The inner annex stands to the right of the main house's front and faces east. It consists of two rooms and a daecheong; a wooden floor runs along the front of the rooms, and a wall was built across the back of the daecheong. A door was set into the side facing the main gate, while the front, which does not directly face the gate, was left open. It retains well the appearance of a middle-class farming household of the Gyeongsangnam-do region.
