This stone jangseung guardian post stands beside Memilbangjuk Pond, on the boundary between Seogurim-ri in Gunseo-myeon and Yongsan-ri in Haksan-myeon. It is one of the Four Stone Markers recorded on the nearby Jukjeong-ri Gukjangseung post, and appears to have been erected to mark the boundary of nearby Dogapsa Temple. It measures 121 cm in height, 50–70 cm in width and 13–30 cm in thickness; unlike ordinary jangseung, which are carved with the figure of a person or guardian deity, it takes the form of a stone stele made from a natural stone, with three large characters carved on one face. Of the three characters, the uppermost is illegible because the top of the post is broken off, while below it the characters 長 (jang, meaning 'long') and 生 (saeng, meaning 'life') can be seen. The exact date of its erection is unknown, but records show that the term jangsaeng was used from the Unified Silla through the Goryeo period, so it is presumed, together with the nearby Jukjeong-ri Gukjangsaeng and Donggurim-ri Hwangjangsaeng, to have been erected before the Joseon period.
