The complex consists of two buildings: the residential quarters to the south and the shrine quarters to the north. The residential quarters form a straight, single-row building, four bays across the front and two bays deep; centred on the daecheong, the wooden-floored hall, the main room (anbang) is set to the west and the geonneonbang, the room across the hall, to the east. In front of the anbang is a cooking hearth, and in front of the daecheong is an earthen-floored space open along its whole front. In front of the geonneonbang there appears to have once been a small side room, now used as a kitchen. The shrine stands at an angle to the residential quarters and measures four bays across the front and one bay deep. At the rear is a platform bearing the spirit tablets, above which is set a simple canopy shaped like a miniature house. The front of the shrine has four doors that can all be opened, while the sides and rear are enclosed. As an annex of a munmyo, a Confucian shrine to Confucius, this building — itself containing the munmyo's shrine — is of particular importance for its intact canopy and spirit tablets.
