Yi Ja-su, posthumously honoured as Songan-gun (Lord Songan), was a civil official of the late Goryeo period. To commemorate his virtue, in 1480, the eleventh year of King Seongjong of Joseon, three brothers who were grandfathers of his descendant Yi Hwang (Toegye) built this complex. It was relocated to its present site in 1715, the forty-first year of King Sukjong. The jeongsa (Confucian study hall) has a lecture hall at the front and, behind it, a shrine enshrining the spirit tablet of Yi Ja-su. The jaesa (grave-side ritual house) is a separate building erected to the east for the memorial rites of Yi Jeong. Built on a square (ㅁ-shaped) plan with a six-bay elevated wooden-floored pavilion at the front and a ritual chamber behind it, it displays the typical features of jaesa architecture in this region.
