This shrine was built by Tak Sun-chang, who served as a training commander during the Japanese invasions of Korea (the Imjin War), when he returned to his hometown to honour his ancestors. It enshrines the spirit tablets of his sixth-generation ancestor Tak Gwang-mu, pen name Gyeongnyeomjeong, and his fifth-generation ancestor Tak Sin. The present buildings were moved to this site in 1987 during the construction of Imha Dam. The complex consists of an outer gate, a lecture hall (Chuwondang) and the shrine proper (Sedeoksa), the last of which has a plan of three bays across the front and two bays deep in a simple rectangular (一-shaped) layout. The roof is a gable roof whose roofline, seen from the side, resembles the shape of the Chinese character 人 (person).
