This is the head house of Kwon Hwan, pen name Iudang, of the Bujeonggong branch of the Andong Kwon clan, said to have been built in 1640, the eighteenth year of King Injo. The building was fully repaired in 1963, and the structure standing today reflects partial repairs made in 1994. The anchae, the main house, is five bays across the front and five bays deep, a wooden tile-roofed building with a square (ㅁ-shaped) floor plan. Its daecheong, a wooden-floored central hall, spans six bays and is laid with umulmaru flooring, boards set in a well-like grid pattern. The sarangchae, the men's quarters, was built on a high stone platform when the main hall was repaired in 1773, the forty-ninth year of King Yeongjo, with a railing set around the building. Every other house in the village faces north, but this house alone faces north-east.
