This is the former house of Yongam Kim Ik-jung (1678–1740), said to have been built in 1728, the fourth year of King Yeongjo. Originally, auxiliary buildings stood on either side of the sarang courtyard between the outer gate and the main house, but today only the main house and the gate remain. The main house, raised on a foundation of roughly dressed fieldstones, is notable for a storage room set above the main bedroom and a one-bay storeroom (gotgan) projecting towards the daecheong (wooden-floored hall). At the rear of the storeroom, wooden boards were fitted to form an additional attic loft.
