Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis house stands in Sanun village, a representative yangban (scholar-gentry) village in Uiseong, and is said to have been built by Yi Hui-bal, the fifth-generation ancestor of the present owner, while he was serving as magistrate of Yeongwol-bu. It is presumed to have been built in the early 1800s, though part of the women's quarters (anchae) was rebuilt around 60 years ago.
