Bojindang Hall was built by Gwon Sa-gyun in the mid-Joseon period. It burned down in a fire in 1867, the fourth year of King Gojong, and was rebuilt the following year. It measures four kan across the front and three kan on the side, with a hip-and-gable roof whose side profile forms the shape of the Chinese character 八 (eight). On the front of the building hangs a plaque bearing the seal of Jeong Hyeon-seok, and each pillar is inscribed with vertical lines of writing. Rings were fitted above the front eaves so that the doors could be raised in summer to let in cooling air. Inside, a single room occupies the right-hand bay, while the three bays on the left form a wooden-floored hall.
