Geumseongdae Pavilion Group Shrine, Jincheon
진천 금성대군 사당 · 鎭川 錦城大君 祠堂

This shrine enshrines the spirit tablet of Prince Geumseongdaegun (1426-1457), the sixth son of King Sejong the Great. His mother was Queen Soheon, and his personal name was Yu; he was invested as Geumseongdaegun in 1433. When his elder brother Suyangdaegun deposed his nephew King Danjong and took the throne, Geumseongdaegun plotted to restore Danjong but was executed for treason. The shrine was built in 1740, the sixteenth year of King Yeongjo, and repaired in 1974. It measures three bays across the front and two bays to the side, with a matbae roof that, seen from the side, takes the shape of the character 人, meaning "person."
