Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis shrine was built to enshrine the spirit tablet of Kim Jeong-gyeong, art name Wijeong, and to hold memorial rites for him. Kim Jeong-gyeong (1345–1419) was a civil official of the early Joseon period who had held office in the late Goryeo period but supported the founding of the new dynasty and served King Taejo and King Taejong. He rose to Commander of the Three Armies and served as Minister of Personnel, and when the Rebellion of Bang-gan broke out in 1400 he assisted Yi Bang-won, was enrolled as a fourth-class Merit Subject of Loyal Assistance, and was invested as Lord of Yeonseong. This shrine, built in 1667, the eighth year of King Sukjong, measures three bays across the front and one bay to the side, with a gable roof that, seen from the side, takes the shape of the Chinese character 人 (person). Memorial rites are held here every year on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month and the twenty-ninth day of the tenth lunar month.
