Jangnam-ri Three-story Stone Pagoda
장남리삼층석탑 · 長南里三層石塔

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis stone pagoda was reassembled by gathering together the various parts of a pagoda that had been scattered in the surrounding area. Rough stones and two long stones were laid on the ground to form the base, and on top of these were placed, in order, the lower platform, the upper platform, the first-storey body stone of the pagoda's main body, and three roof stones. Each face of the lower platform is carved with two ansang, eye- or niche-shaped decorative motifs, and the upper platform is carved with pillar shapes. The thick roof stones curve sharply upward at the four corners, and the underside of each bears two tiers of supporting steps. The pagoda is presumed to be a work of the late Goryeo period.
