This is a seowon, a Confucian academy, that enshrines the spirit tablets of Choe Deok-ji (pen name Yeonchon), Choe Yeon-son (pen name Amgye), Jang Geup (pen name Yulgye) and Jang Gyeong-se (pen name Sachon), among others. It was established in 1630, the eighth year of King Injo of Joseon, abolished in 1897, the first year of the Gwangmu era, and rebuilt in 1907. The shrine, where memorial rites are held, measures three kan across the front and two kan along the side, with a paljak, hip-and-gable, roof that forms the shape of the character 八 when viewed from the side. The lecture hall, used for study, is likewise a paljak-roofed building measuring four kan across the front and three kan along the side. Memorial rites are held at this academy every year in the third month of the lunar calendar.
