This is a Buddha statue enshrined at Gwaneumsa Temple in Docheon-myeon, Changnyeong-gun, South Gyeongsang Province. It is a maaebul, a Buddha image carved in outline on the smoothed surface of a natural rock face, depicting the Buddha's body and the halo behind it. The face is long and rendered with a gentle expression, and the overall carving technique shows that it dates from a later, less accomplished period. When Gwaneumsa Temple burned down entirely during the Korean War, the shock of the fire cracked the middle part of the statue.
